  • Akcome's 15MW HJT Project's First Batch Shipped to Japan!

    Akcome 2023-09-11 0 times

On the morning of September 6th, Zhejiang AKCOME New Energy Technology Co., Ltd. successfully completed quality inspections for the first batch of 15MW high-efficiency heterojunction modules produced at Suzhou base, which were then successfully dispatched to Japan. This successful shipment signifies AKCOME's growing influence and brand recognition in overseas markets, with its heterojunction high-efficiency products increasingly gaining international customer recognition.

As a global leader in the heterojunction domain, AKCOME has deeply cultivated the Japanese market for many years. With its precise understanding of Japanese market demands and regional characteristics, combined with robust technical prowess, outstanding product quality, and leading delivery capabilities, AKCOME has continuously earned the trust and allegiance of numerous industry clients and partners. Recently, AKCOME entered into a procurement collaboration with a Japanese enterprise for a 15MW high-efficiency heterojunction solar module for an ultra-high voltage photovoltaic project. Shipments will be dispatched in batches based on the project's progress, ensuring stable cross-regional power transmission and reliable green energy supply in Japan. Since the contract's inception, AKCOME's intelligent solar module production line has been operating at full capacity, achieving rapid module production.

The project utilizes AKCOME's newly upgraded AK iPower 7.0 series bifacial double-glass high-efficiency N-type heterojunction modules. This series, targeting large-scale ground power stations, employs heterojunction (HJT) technology, featuring 66 pieces of 210mm half-cut ultra-thin silicon wafers. The module integrates advanced technologies such as silicon wafer thinning, bifacial microcrystalline, SMBB, low-temperature welding, and high-precision welding. It boasts a maximum output power of 720W, conversion efficiency of up to 23.2%, bifaciality of 90%, and distinct advantages like high power, high efficiency, high power generatin, high reliability, and superior resistance to light-induced degradation. This can effectively reduce the BOS and LCOE costs of solar projects.

Japan, a nation with limited land area, scarce resources, and a dense population, views energy as a critical factor constraining its economic growth. Moreover, the Fukushima nuclear disaster has led to restrictions on nuclear energy usage in Japan. To reduce reliance on fossil fuel imports, Japan has resolutely chosen to develop renewable energy to achieve its decarbonization and green transition goals. Local governments provide stable policy support and subsidy incentives to bolster the solar industry. Japan's "Sixth Energy Strategy Plan" proposes increasing the renewable energy share to 38%, with solar power accounting for 14%-16% by 2030. Beyond formulating medium-to-long-term energy policy guidelines, Japan is exploring new business models, transitioning from feed-in tariffs (FIT) and feed-in premiums (FIP) to power purchase agreements (PPA) targeting commercial clients and public institutions, thereby promoting the development of solar systems. Additionally, local municipal authorities in Japan are actively integrating solar power, promoting rooftop solar systems on corporate buildings, factories, and warehouses, and expanding residential solar system development through free installations of solar systems and energy storage batteries. Overall, the Japanese solar market is highly scaled, and the demand for solar energy is expected to continue rising, presenting significant market potential.

As one of the key strategic markets in the Asia-Pacific region, Akcome has been entrenched in the Japanese market for numerous years, participating in numerous solar power station projects and gaining widespread recognition and favor in the local market. Looking ahead, AKCOME, guided by the principles of greening, globalization, and intelligentization, will continue to leverage its efficient manufacturing and integrated supply advantages. Collaborating with countries across the Asia-Pacific, AKCOME aims to contribute its strength to the global energy structural transformation and upgrade.
